Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food. Hippocrates

I always keep a good stock of organic/biodynamic tea in my pantry. It is easy to keep on hand as it doesn't require refrigeration and it lasts a long time. Keeping fresh roots like ginger and horseradish on hand is a good idea as well. To keep these fresh items on hand without going bad, I keep them in the freezer.

There are many types of tea I like to keep in stock in my pantry... Green tea. Jasmine tea, Rooibos tea, Hibiscus tea, Lemon verbena tea, and Medicinal mushroom tea. Of course, I only purchase organic and biodynamic teas. To go along with these teas, I always have fresh organic lemon in my fridge, organic fresh ginger and horseradish in my freezer and local raw honey and cayenne pepper in my cupboard.

I do enjoy tea. Although, I am not a tea lover. I prefer to start my morning with fresh squeezed hot lemon water (With the rind chopped up & in my cup). I feel it is a great way to start each day. Of course, if you are a tea lover you can always add fresh squeezed lemon and the rind to your favorite cup of tea in the morning. Regardless of our personal tastes, it is comforting to have organic teas and foods on hand, as at the first sign of illness, we have all these wonderful items at our fingertips to support our body's ability to heal.
